(Written last night - 6/1/07 at around 12:00am, posted this morning)

Today has indeed been long. Very long.

On a good note
I was too tired to participate much in group today. Very tired, very disconnected. But I did come to the agreement of working on sticking with a regular eating and sleeping schedule for the next 8 weeks as a goal to focus on during group. My therapist suggested this on Tuesday during my individual session with her and then the group counselor today agreed that the goal was applicable.

On a funny note, when we went out for break it was about 15-20 minutes before we were allowed back in the building. Apparently someone in the office, “a consumer”, went postal and the cops came and I had a good chuckle thinking about how they must dread getting called in to go visit our Community Support Center, otherwise known as “place where crazies get help for functioning in life”. Yes, I am a “consumer”. ::Hides in shame::

I would imagine the officer’s thoughts would go something along the lines of: “Christ…some psychotics having a breakdown…this ought to be fun…”

Ha!

On a bad note
Mike announced today that he wouldn’t have his half of the rent until next week to give to his mom. That wasn’t soo bad until:

“Yeah, I am going to buy some pot. But even if I didn’t buy pot I still wouldn’t have the money to pay her this week”.

(My thought I don’t way out loud: “Couldn’t you give her at least that money until you can give her the rest next week??”) ::Sigh::

I’m a loser.

Couldn’t get a hold of Stephen all day about going out to eat for our birthday tomorrow night. I just missed his call because I was at group. Hopefully he’ll call me tomorrow in time to plan where we’re actually going to eat at and at what time?

Todays Accomplishments:

  • I only have one literary analysis left to do on the last of the five short stories I picked to do my paper on. Once its typed up and sent I’m done with spring quarter and have the rest of the summer off! Glee! Joy! Glee!
  • I’ve completed a great deal of work today for the construction of this site. Yay!
    1. I completed the “Author” page and added a section to my side bar with my icon and quote that links back to the “Author” page.

    2. I completed the page full for Survivor Blogs, organized by blog host and in alphabetical order (Yes. I am that anal).
    3. I completed the feed subscription and social bookmarking html on the sidebar. Visitors
    4. I created an account with Sonific and added a widget to my side bar that plays a pretty cool piece of classical music that I feel fits well with the tone of this site.
    5. I created an account with VodPod and added an old favorite video by Soul Asylum, “Runaway Train”…which depicts how children end up on the streets in struggling to escape abusive home lifes.
    6. I joined a Survivor Blogging Webring. I guess now I don’t have to create one since its already been done…its probably way better that way since I’m way too absent minded and loopy and tied down with other commitments to keep track of a webring on top of everything else.
  • After 4 aspirin the splitting headache I’ve had all day and night finally ceased to exist a few hours ago. Woo hoo!
  • I have gotten some emails and comments from some pretty cool survivors thus far whom I look forward to getting to know better. Each and every one of you is an inspiration to me and I hope that in the future, together, we can help to support one another on our individual journeys.

Well, hopefully this isn’t too boring. My nite meds have kicked in and I’m VERY out of it. Nite everyone.

Love & Hope Sent.
