If it’s a hoax created by doctors, how come I diagnosed myself? (Confirmed by several experts later, but it was I who figured it out, not a therapist.)

Actually, at this point in my life I couldn’t care less whether psychiatry acknowledges the existence of DID or not. I ran into some very harmful psychiatrists who treated DID before I found an excellent psychologist. I saw women and men hurt by their psychiatrist’s treatment of their DID often.

So if psychiatry wants to let go of the diagnosis in the next DSM, fine with me, that’s less damage they will do to people with DID and we can get help from psychologists and others who actually know how to help.
